The Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says that through the passage of the Petroleum Products Special Provisions Amendment Act in Parliament, international suppliers will be able to access the country’s energy sector.

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has mentioned this in a note on his Twitter account.

Accordingly, the monopoly of petroleum corporations will be abolished and the legal obstacles to creating opportunities for new investments in aviation fuel and other sectors will be removed, the minister said.
