Roshan Ranasinghe, the sports minister for Sri Lanka, and Ehsan ur Rehman Mazari, the minister for interprovincial coordination, spoke about their shared interest in sports during their meeting in Colombo.
Arjuna Ranatunga, the captain of the Sri Lankan team that won the World Cup, and the secretary of the Ministry of Sports were present at the meeting when the Pakistani minister also offered assistance in the form of coaches for kabaddi, squash, and hockey. The Minister for IPC emphasized the value of sports diplomacy and how sports have the ability to enhance the current ties between the two nations.
