A survey conducted by Verité Research has revealed that people’s knowledge about the recently passed Online Safety Act is minimal. Accordingly, in this survey, it has been revealed that 66% do not know anything about this Act, while 34% are aware of it, the institute points out.

Also, 56% of people have stated that the freedom to use social media will decrease through this act and 25% have stated that this act will not make much difference. Another 19% said that the misuse of social media will be reduced through this, the Verité Research Institute further states.
