Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL) chairman Janaka Ratnayake says that there is enough water in the reservoirs to generate electricity in Sri Lanka.

The chairman has said that if the coal stocks are sufficient, there will be no need for electricity cuts until December.

The chairman further said that even though it was announced that there would be a one-hour power cut from the 3rd of last year, the cut was not made, and if enough coal is available, there will be no need for this one-hour power cut in the future.
