In conjunction with the 2022 Football World Cup in Qatar, the Ministry of Tourism of Sri Lanka has designated a ‘FIFA Zone’ on the coast of Negombo.
Under this, tourists can come to this region under various packages and these packages have been introduced at a lower price than the states of Qatar and Dubai, said Tourism Minister Harin Fernando.
The Minister further stated that this project is expected to attract tourists to Qatar for the 2022 Football World Cup and the aim of this project is to convey a positive message to the world regarding the current situation in Sri Lanka.
