National Vesak week starts today (02). Accordingly, Minister Vidura Wickramanayake mentioned that many religious programs have been organized throughout the island for the Vesak week.
This year the Vesak festival is on the 5th of May and this Vesak week will continue till the 8th of next month. Also, this year’s National Vesak Festival is scheduled to be held at the Sri Rathanasiri Piriven Temple in Chilaw Madampe, Kaballewala.
