More than 1000 fingerprints have reportedly been discovered in the investigations conducted at President’s House, Temple Trees, the Presidential Secretariat, and the Prime Minister’s Office, as per the data from the Criminal Archives.

In connection with their investigations into the harm done to these four government buildings that protestors forcibly occupied between July 9 and July 13, the police ran a fingerprint examination. As a result, more than 1,000 fingerprints were discovered in Torrington, Colombo 7, by the officials of the Fingerprint Bureau.

According to the police, a match between those fingerprints and those of criminals listed in the criminal register is presently being made.

The fingerprints recovered will be matched to the fingerprints of the persons who were arrested for destroying the two residences in the future.
