South African President Cyril Ramphosa and his ‘African National Congress’ party have had to give 12 of the thirty-two positions in the new government to the opposition, the country’s media reports.
Neither President Cyril Ramposa nor his ‘African National Congress’ party won a majority in the last presidential election. Accordingly, Ramposa was forced to form a coalition government by negotiating with opposition groups and reaching an agreement. (AFP)
