A landslide early warning message has been issued by the National Building Research Organization. It is stated that the landslide warnings have been issued for a period of 24 hours from today (07) at 9:00 am to tomorrow (08) at 9:00 am. Accordingly, landslide warnings have been issued in the Nagoda, Elpitiya, Baddegama and Yakkalamulla areas of the Galle district and Passara areas of the Badulla district.
Also, it is stated that landslide warnings have been issued for Yatianthota, Rambukkana, Deraniyagala, Mawanella, Kegalle and Galigamuwa areas of the Kegalle district and Rideegama, Mawathagama, Alawwa areas of Kurunegala district and Pallepola areas of Matale district.
