Trade Minister Nalin Fernando states that it is suggested that the price of bakery products including bread should be reduced by 10 rupees as soon as possible. The minister mentioned that a gazette notice was issued naming wheat flour as a specific commodity as companies are likely to increase the price of wheat flour.
Accordingly, Trade Minister Nalin Fernando further stated that if domestic wheat flour companies increase the price of wheat flour in the future, they should obtain the approval of the Consumer Affairs Authority.
