According to the National Consumer Price Index, inflation in the country in December decreased compared to last November.
Accordingly, the Department of Census and Statistics stated that the inflation in Sri Lanka which was 65% last November has come down to 59.2% in December.
Also, the department further states that the food inflation in the country which was reported as 69.8% in November has come down to 59.3% in December.
