The Indian High Commission stated that the delegation led by Mr Pankaj Jain, Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka, met and discussed with President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
The High Commission of India pointed out that during the discussion, President Ranil Wickramasinghe briefed the delegation on the developments in the jointly identified priority areas to improve cooperation in the energy sector between Sri Lanka and India and the President gave guidance and instructions for the speedy implementation of those developments.
A high-ranking Indian delegation in the energy sector, including heads of the Indian Oil Company, has arrived in Sri Lanka.
The Indian High Commissioner said that the delegation presented a coat made from recycled plastic bottles and a home solar cooking system during the discussion and 500 such home solar cooking systems were gifted by the Indian Oil Company for use in Sri Lanka. The office pointed out. (Lankadeepa)
