Reuters has reported that India has extended the US$1 billion credit facility to Sri Lanka for the import of essential materials by another year. The credit facility was supposed to end in March this year and accordingly, India has extended the credit facility to March next year to Sri Lanka.
Reuters has reported that Deputy Treasury Secretary Priyantha Ratnayake said that Sri Lanka has not yet used the US$ 350 million in this credit facility and after negotiations, India has given Sri Lanka time until March next year. (Lankadeepa)
