The rice flour processing factory reserved for the trainees of the Gannoruwa Agricultural Training Institute was brought under the National Food Promotion Board and production started yesterday (25th).
This factory was opened with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera and the Minister of State Mohan de Silva and the sales and distribution of the rice flour processing products produced here have been made nationwide with the contribution of Haley’s Company.
The Chairman of the Food Promotion Board Mr Palinda Sagara mentioned that the rice flour produced here is also distributed by the shops of the National Food Promotion Board.
Steps have been taken to process the rice flour produced at Gannoruwa Rice Processing Center into value-added products. Accordingly, they are prepared using nutritious drumstick leaves, blue cardamom, and curry leaves.
