The Department of Immigration and Emigration announced that it will implement a visa system without charging fees for the citizens of 07 foreign countries with immediate effect. Accordingly, this visa system is available for people from China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan.
The Department of Immigration and Emigration stated that this visa system will be implemented as a pilot program with the aim of reviving the tourism industry in line with a decision made by the Council of Ministers on October 24th and that the program will be implemented until March 31st.
The department has issued a series of conditions in that regard. Accordingly, the Department of Immigration added that persons holding diplomatic, official government affairs, service and general passports from the above countries are eligible for a fee-free visa system under the relevant visa scheme.
