Fossil bones of a giant prehistoric snake have been found in the Indian state of Gujarat.

According to fossil bone fragments of this giant snake found in a mine in the state of Gujarati in western India, scientists believe that it may have been between 36 and 50 feet long and weighed a ton.

This snake is named as ‘Vasuki Indicus’. Vasuki is the serpent king around Lord Shiva’s neck. This ancient giant snake, which belongs to a species of python, is believed to have lived in India 47 million years ago, and scientists say that it may be one of the largest snakes that ever lived.
