It is reported that the electricity board employees are engaged in a professional action to take sick leave today (27).
Malaka Wickramasinghe, Chairman of Ceylon Electricity Board Public Employees’ Union, stated that this professional action is being implemented against unfair tax policy, increase in electricity bills etc.
Accordingly, he further stated that today electrical workers from all over Sri Lanka are planning to come to Colombo and hold a protest.
