The New Zealand team won by 9 wickets in the second T20 match between the visiting Sri Lankan team and the New Zealand team. The New Zealand team won the toss and invited the Sri Lankan team to bat first and they scored 141 runs at the end of 19 overs.
In batting, Dhananjaya de Silva scored 37 runs, Kusal Janith Perera scored 35 runs and Charith Sasanka scored 24 runs. The New Zealand team, who played the reply innings, managed to pass their winning bid in the 15th over while losing one wicket.
Accordingly, both the teams have won one match and the matches are equal now. The third and final T20 match is scheduled to be held on the 8th.
