59 Health Medical Officer Divisions across the country have been designated as Dengue High-Risk Zones. Until now, only 19 health and medical divisions had been designated as dengue high-risk zones, and the number of high-risk zones has increased due to the gradual spread of dengue fever across the country, the National Dengue Control Program also states.
The programs also say that dengue fever patients are found in abundance in those medical officer divisions including Wadduwa, Udunuwara, Wattegama, Akurassa, Valasmulla, Puttalam, Badulla, Kuruwita, Kegalle. (Lankadeepa)
