Acting Cabinet Spokesman Minister Ramesh Pathirana says that the Lazard Institute, which provides financial advice for debt restructuring in Sri Lanka, has started discussions with China, Japan, and India.
Accordingly, the minister stated that the purpose of these discussions is to reach some agreement while attending the press conference to announce the cabinet decisions held today (13).
The minister further stated that debt restructuring is necessary for this country to get the necessary financial relief from the International Monetary Fund.
