Starting the passenger ship service from Chennai to Kankesanthurai, an inspection passenger ship carrying Indian tourists arrived at Jaffna Kankesanthurai port yesterday (16).
Ports, Shipping and Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripalada Silva and Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda welcomed the inspection passenger ship and the tourists who arrived there.
This passenger transport service was started as per the request of the Sri Lankan government to start a passenger ferry service from Chennai Pondicherry Port in India to Kankesanthurai.
