The cabinet that met the day before yesterday (31) and has taken a decision regarding the restructuring of Sri Lankan Airlines.
Accordingly, it is stated that the Cabinet has decided to assign the State-Owned Enterprises Restructuring Unit established under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to study the methods of restructuring Sri Lankan Airlines and submit recommendations to the Cabinet.
The relevant cabinet decision states that it has been recognized that it is desirable to restructure Sri Lankan Airlines and its managed companies by handing over a significant amount of shares of Sri Lankan Airlines and the management of the company to selected investors.
