Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Bandula Gunawardena says that the Cabinet has approved the classification of Sri Lanka as a low-income country.
The minister stated that this decision was taken based on the notification of world organizations to make it easier for Sri Lanka to get concessional loan assistance.
Accordingly, the minister further stated that the per capita income has decreased with the recession of the economy in the past period.
