The Cabinet has approved implementing the tariff policy and formula for review by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.
The new rate policy and formula of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board was discussed in the Cabinet meeting held on 04-08-2024, where it was stated that it was decided to present the new rate policy and formula by introducing the necessary amendments in consultation with all the relevant parties.
The Council of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development to implement the revised water tariff policy and the revised water tariff formula from the year 2025. (Esena)
