Foreign media reports that Lt. Col. Paul Henry Damiba, the military leader who gained power in a military coup in Burkina Faso last January, has been deposed.
It is stated that he has been removed from power due to the failure of the military leader to suppress an Islamic Jihad rebellion in the country.
A spokesperson of the country’s army had said on television that the military leader had been removed from power.
