An Aeroflot plane belonging to the Russian airline arrived at Katunayake International Airport this morning (10).Accordingly, it is stated that flights between Moscow and Colombo have been started after 4 months.The company had decided to suspend flights to Sri Lanka due to a problem that arose due to the detention of an Aeroflot aircraft in Sri Lanka on June 2 on a court order.

The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding lightning.Accordingly, the Department of Meteorology states that there is a high possibility of strong lightning with thundershowers at places in Uva, East, North and North Central provinces and Kurunegala district.Heavy rains of more than 100 mm may occur in some places in those areas and temporary strong winds may occur in those areas along with thunderstorms.

Seven people were injured in an explosion at a gas station in County Donegal, northwest Ireland.According to the police, 8 other people who were injured in the explosion have been taken to the hospital.
