Director General of Geological Survey and Mines Bureau MMJA Ajithprema says that there is a risk of creating a new land boundary between 900 and 1000 kilometres to Sri Lanka. The Department of Meteorology says that in many parts of the island today (27th) after 2.00 pm there may be scattered rain or thundershowers. Department of Meteorology says that in Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Central, Uva and North-West Provinces and Trincomalee and Mullaitivu Districts today (25th) in the evening or at night there will be scattered showers or thundershowers and heavy rains of more than 50 mm may occur in some places.The department warned that rain or thundershowers might appear in a few spots throughout the evening or at night in the other regions.
