According to hospital sources, several hospitals, including the Colombo National Hospital, Borella Ridgeway Children’s Hospital and Castle Street Women’s Hospital, have stopped many blood testing activities due to a shortage of chemicals.
Due to these conditions, patients have to get their blood tested by private laboratories and they are in a lot of trouble.
When we asked the hospital authorities about this, they said that even if there is a shortage of chemicals required for blood testing, they will not allow the hospital work to be disrupted. (Divaina)
