Minister of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that the application for the project of providing interest-free loans to 5,000 students who have studied in private universities will start today (04). Accordingly, the State Minister stated that this opportunity is available for students who have studied A Level in the years 2019, 2020, and 2021 and they can apply for this from July 4th to August 7th.
He mentioned that the government will pay the full interest on this loan and priority will be given to job-oriented courses. State Minister for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya further stated that if there is a competition for this purpose, the selection will be made according to the children’s Z-Score.
