The government of Bangladesh has decided to give another 06 months to start repaying the loan amount given to Sri Lanka by Bangladesh.
Accordingly, it is stated that Sri Lanka should give the first instalment of the loan to Bangladesh in August and the second instalment in September.
In 2021, under a currency exchange agreement, Bangladesh had arranged to provide 200 million US dollars to Sri Lanka.
