India’s general election is scheduled to be held in 2024, and Indian opposition political groups have formed a new alliance with the aim of defeating Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
This alliance is known as the ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA)’. The goal of the ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ is to prevent the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Prime Minister Modi, from winning the general election for the third time in a row.
India’s main opposition political alliance ‘Indian National Congress’ pioneered the formation of this alliance. It is said that 28 Indian opposition political groups have joined the alliance. That, if won, is according to an agreement to share seats at various state levels. (NDTV)
