The Department of Registration of Persons says that the acquisition of biometric data of citizens concerning the new electronic national identity card will be made in the coming month of June.
Commissioner General Pradeep Saputantri stated that the preliminary work related to the implementation of the new e-ID has been completed.
Accordingly, within June, the data related to citizens’ biometric data, fingerprints and facial recognition will be collected. That work will be started through all the divisional secretariats, he further states.
