State Minister for Home Affairs Ashok Priyantha Priyantha says that about 30000 government employees in corporations and departments are going to retire today (31).
The minister points out that even if so many employees retire, there will be no hindrance in the running of the public service and there will be no collapse in the public service.
It is further reported that recruitment of officers for the vacancies of retiring public servants will be done on the recommendations of the Prime Minister’s Secretary Committee.
