The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding lightning.
Accordingly, the Department of Meteorology states that there is a high possibility of strong lightning with thundershowers at places in Uva, East, North and North Central provinces and Kurunegala district.
Heavy rains of more than 100 mm may occur in some places in those areas and temporary strong winds may occur in those areas along with thunderstorms.
