European health authorities fear that the spread of dengue in European countries is increasing daily and that the spread in Western countries is an unintended consequence of global warming.

In 2022, 71 dengue cases were reported from European countries such as Iceland and Norway, and 130 dengue cases were reported in 2023.

Dengue virus, which is limited to warm tropical countries, has spread to Western European countries due to temperature changes. It is also said that this increase in global warming has occurred due to the improper effects of human activities. (NDTV)
