Steps have been taken to start a special luxury tourist train from Colombo Fort to Kandy.
Accordingly, the railway department stated that the train will run every weekend from October 1.
New tourist train The train departs from Colombo Fort at 6.30 and is scheduled to reach Kandy at 9.18 am and the train that departs from Kandy at 4.50 pm is scheduled to arrive at Colombo Fort at 7.40 pm.
This special train has been designed to target the tourists who come to visit Dalada Maliga and Peradeniya Malvatta.
