The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has started a special investigation regarding the alleged nailing of a Sri Lankan woman while she was working as a domestic worker in Saudi Arabia, said Mr Senarath Yapa, Media Spokesperson and General Manager of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.

Mr. Yapa said that the investigation is being carried out in coordination with the Saudi Embassy and its hospitals, and further mentioned that she was treated in Saudi Arabia after the incident.

M.S Tyaga Selvi, a 21-year-old mother of one, who lived in a tea estate home at Matale Alkaduwa, has faced this incident and she has also told the media that she has been severely tortured in Saudi Arabia.
