Sri Lanka Export Development Board says that merchandise export earnings in August 2022 increased by 10.24% to US$ 1,213.7 million.
Accordingly, they point out that this is mainly due to the increase in garment and textile export earnings.
The estimated value of service exports for the period January-August 2022 was 1,310.05 million dollars, which has increased by 5.58% over the corresponding period of 2021.
