The Excise Department has introduced a mobile phone application with QR facilities to instantly identify alcohol sold illegally in the market.
After getting this app named “EXCISE TAX STAMP VALIDATOR” on any Android or Apple smartphone, it is possible to scan the QR code on the liquor bottle and check its details.
If the details cannot be obtained by scanning a QR code, the possibility to complain to the Excise Department through the relevant App has also been provided.
