Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera says that a 50 kg urea fertilizer bundle will be provided free of charge to farmers who cultivate less than two and a half hectares in the upcoming season.
Accordingly, the minister stated that it is targeted to provide this for the farmers in the dry zone and the intermediate zone.
Also, the minister further mentioned that even if it is not available this season, the fertilizer subsidy will be provided free of charge from the next season onwards.
