In order to popularize women’s cricket in the country, the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute has organized a training course to provide women with basic knowledge about the cricket coaching method.
Women above the age of 18 who wish to participate in this training course, which is held from the basic stage, can apply for this. In addition to the women involved in cricket, physical training counsellors and female sports coaches working in schools across the island will also have the opportunity to study this training course.
This training course is implemented focusing on 4 provinces of Sri Lanka. These training courses will be implemented in Central and Eastern Provinces together at one centre, in Northwest, North Central and Northern Provinces together at one centre, in South and Uva Provinces at one centre and in Western Province.
The special feature of this is that the course has been running since the introduction of the game of cricket from stage 0. The Sri Lanka Cricket Institute has taken measures to provide women who are interested in this, after completing this stage, the opportunity to go to the international stage after studying the training stages in the future.
