An effort by a 61-year-old man to enter his home through a window on the seventh level of the 11-story Laksanda Sevana housing complex in Wellampitiya failed, and he passed away yesterday as a result.
S Mahendran has been identified as the victim.
The deceased, according to the police, shared a home with his son on the seventh level of the apartment building. According to investigations, his kid was drunk and didn’t try to unlock the door.
According to the police, it seems that the deceased had been attempting to open the door with great effort until, at approximately 1:30 in the morning, he proceeded to the eighth story and descended a pipe to try to access his apartment through a window.
