A person has been arrested by the Police Special Task Force in connection with the shooting in Ahungalla town.
According to the police, the person who was given the T56 firearm to carry out the shooting was arrested and he is a 41-year-old commando staff sergeant.
The police further stated that the suspect was arrested while on duty yesterday (16) and handed over to the Ahungalla Police Station for further investigation.
