Police have arrested a suspect who stole the ATM cards of various people and stole money from bank accounts.
According to an investigation conducted according to 2 complaints received by the Bambalapitiya Police, a 36-year-old resident of the Dompe Kapugoda area was arrested in connection with the incident.
The police have arrested the suspect using the CCTV footage of using stolen cards and withdrawing money from ATM machines and the suspect has defrauded more than 4 lakh rupees.
The arrested suspect has been remanded until December 06 after being produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court.
