Finance Minister President Ranil Wickramasinghe says that it is proposed to establish a separate unit for the restructuring of government-owned commercial enterprises.
The interim budget has also proposed to allocate an amount of 200 million rupees to implement the proposal.
The President further stated that the government has taken steps to establish this new unit due to the fact that several major state enterprises have become in a state of high financial risk.
