State Minister D. V Chanaka said that according to the prices given at the moment, the government will incur losses from certain fuels.
Accordingly, he stated in Parliament today (09) that the government will incur a loss of Rs. 12 per litre of diesel and Rs. 22 per litre of kerosene.
The Minister of State mentioned that Sri Lanka has a system of taking the oil and according to the Singapore index, the price of fuel has gone up and there has been no increase in the price of oil compared to that.
State Minister D. V Chanaka further stated that if there was a profit at this time, it would be given to the people.
