The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment has given 03 billion rupees to the treasury.
Accordingly, it is said that the check was handed over to President Ranil Wickremesinghe by the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara, at the Presidential Office yesterday (23) afternoon.
Considering the current economic situation in the country, it is stated that this amount was obtained from the operating surplus received by the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau last year for essential activities such as the purchase of essential medicines, the payment of government employee salaries, and the purchase of paddy.
