President Ranil Wickremesinghe has today handed over a donation of one million US dollars from the Sri Lankan government to the Palestinian government through the official agency of the United Nations for the children affected by the conflicts in the Gaza Strip.
The President’s Media Division stated that President Ranil Wickremesinghe officially handed over the check to the Palestinian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Dr. H. E. Zuhair M. H. Dar Zaid.
The Presidential Media Unit further stated that many people had already donated funds to the Children of Gaza Fund, which was started based on the idea of President Ranil Wickremesinghe to provide relief for the children affected by the conflicts in the Gaza Strip.
