The Election Commission has decided not to mark the postal votes in the local government elections on the currently scheduled dates. Earlier it was decided to mark the postal votes on March 28, 29, 30, 31 and April 03.
However, as the local government election cannot be held on April 25 under the current situation, political party secretaries have proposed several proposals including postponing the polling by specifying a specific date.
Accordingly, the Election Commission further states that after considering the relevant proposals, the polling date will be announced in the future.
