The Sri Lankan Cricket Executive Committee has taken steps to impose a ban on Sri Lankan cricketer Dhanishka Gunathilaka from all types of cricket matches with immediate effect.
Also, the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute states that the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute will take the necessary steps to conduct an investigation regarding Dhanishka Gunathilaka and after the completion of the case against him in the court of Australia, if the player is found guilty, the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute will take steps to punish him.
